Argentina is one of the major producers of bee honey and, with only five percent destined to domestic consumption, it is also the leading global exporter producing about 198000 Lbs annually of high quality honey, mainly white 17 to 34 mm Pfund) and extra light, characterized by a delicate flavour and aroma.

Between 50 and 60 percent of the production in Argentina comes from the Province of Buenos Aires.

A high experience as honey exporter along with ideal conditions for production have generally helped Argentina to establish a favourable reputation as a supplier of high quality honey for the selective and demanding European markets.

Due to its unique southern hemispheric location, Argentina's honey is available at the beginning of the calendar year.
